Aftermath 65.

The Kaldel Plains...

After he cuts down the small, bright green goblin. Pallen the blademaster quickly heads back to the north side of the clearing in the center of the village.
And as he approaches his lover, Sasha the former mercenary, along with Gorlic the former arena fighter, who are making their way towards him.
The tall plainsman who is originally from the kingdom of Girdane, looks back towards the middle of the clearing, where the wagon track crosses the wide path, here in the center of the large village, the illegal wreckers have been living in for past year or so.
The dangerous blademaster sees the large ork looking directly at him. Even from where he is, Pallen can clearly see it growling, then it roars. A loud, continuous roar.
"Go, get out of here" says Pallen the blademaster to Sasha and Gorlic when he gets to them, as the large ork continues to roar.
The tall plainsman who wears his long hair in braids, as most plainsmen do. Nods which way to go.
Both the former mercenary who is originally from the kingdom of Girdane, and the former arena fighter who hails from the city-state of Brattonbury.
Turn, and head the way the dangerous blademaster has indicated. And as the three of them run out of the north end of the clearing, they hear the large ork shout in a loud voice "Get some!".
"Left" says Pallen, and the three of them turn to the west, and run around one of the roundhouses.
Then as he steadies Gorlic, who is moving with a limp, the Girdanian blademaster says to the other two "That ork is pissed off".
"No kidding" dryly says Gorlic the former arena fighter as the three of them start heading west through the village.
Just then they hear a thud from the roundhouse they've just run around. The three of them all look back as they hear something crashing through that particular house.
Then as they hurry between a pair of houses here towards the north side of the village, they see what amounts to the back wall of the roundhouse they hear the commotion coming from, burst apart as the large ork comes crashing through it.
The large ork with bits of broken stonework and wood all over it, spots them, and loudly growls, then takes off running towards them.
"Run!" shouts Pallen the blademaster as the very angry looking ork comes running towards them.
Both the former mercenary and the former arena fighter don't have to be told twice, they're already moving, and running.
And the large ork purses them westwards through this side of the village, here in the northeast of the Kaldel Plains they've been living in for the last year or so.
"What was that?" murmurs Samiel the mage who shakes his head once again as he tries to clear it some more.
The powerful spellcaster from the city-state of Tuledare, looks back in the direction he's come from, and frowns.
"That ork?" murmurs Samiel, who then adds "Sure sounds like it" as he's pretty certain he can hear that ork continuously roaring from the clearing in the middle of the large village.
The powerful mage, who once worked for the airdock authority in the city of Tuledare. Shakes his head again, and continues to hold his magical power within himself as he searches for the other mage that he knows is somewhere here in the village.
Another mage who nearly killed him with a mageglobe that exploded right beneath him, back next to the clearing in the middle of the village.
Samiel, who still isn't all that steady on his feet. Stops and leans against the side of a wood shed behind a roundhouse.
And looks northwards between some of the roundhouses, and slightly frowns as he spots a group of people hurrying by in the distance.
The powerful Tuledarian spellcaster shakes his head once more, as he isn't that certain he recognises those he got a brief glimpse of in the distance.
There was four of them, and Samiel is pretty certain one was fairly large, wearing half plate heavy armour. And another was a tall, athletic, attractive looking young woman.
The other two he didn't get a good view of from his brief glimpse of them.
"One of them might be that mage?" Samiel the mage quietly murmurs to himself. The former airdock authority worker from the city-state of Tuledare, turned illegal wrecker. Slightly nods his head, then murmurs "Could be".
The powerful spellcaster then pushes off the wood shed he's been leaning against, where he's been catching his breath, and trying to regain his wits.
And he sets off, heading in the same direction he saw the small group heading. Westwards through the large village, that the crew of illegal wreckers have called home for the last year or so.
Further back, near the middle of the village, close to the clearing where the wagon track crosses a wide path.
The other spellcaster amongst the illegal wreckers, that's still alive. Davon the wizard, who has struggled to his feet. Winces after he hears the long, continuous roar from the large ork, which then shouted "Get some!".
The spellcaster who  hails from the city-state of Andelka, who is leaning his head back against one the roundhouses.
Waits for a few moments, then looks around the roundhouse, and looks back in the direction of the clearing. And spots the plainswoman Sovirn next to one of the roundhouses at the edge of the clearing.
The plainswoman who looks like she's just shot an arrow from her bow, and is reaching for another one in her quiver.
Is suddenly knocked off her feet, and goes flying backwards to hit the ground. Davon quickly ducks his head back behind the roundhouse he's standing behind when he sees the yard long arrow sticking out of the chest of Sovirn the plainswoman.
"Hell" mutters Davon the wizard, who then silently adds, was that from a longbow?
The Andelkan spellcaster, who has had a spell gem he's thrown rebound back at him. As well as a blast spell he's cast, rebound and hit him.
Both of which he was lucky to survive, as they both could of killed him. Thinks about taking a peek around this side of the roundhouse again.
He decides not to, and the wizard who is battered and bruised after flying back through the air, then tumbling across the ground.
And only alive because the wards that he had up, protected him.
Makes his way along the back of the roundhouse, and stops at the south side of it.
Davon who figures that the knight might still be around, that's unless he's killed him. Which he's not too sure of. As the knight already survived the spell gem the wizard threw at him.
Moves cautiously around the south side of the roundhouse, until he can see the clearing in the middle of the village again.
The spellcaster from the city-state of Andelka frowns as all he can see in the parts of the clearing he's got a view of.
Are his fellow wreckers who are dead. There's no sign of either the knight or the large ork. Or for that matter, the small, bright, green goblin that was with them. For that, the wizard in the dark robes, is rather glad.
Now where are they? Davon thinks to himself, as he has no idea that two of those who have attacked the village this morning, are close by, trying to find him, to eliminate him.
In the badly damaged two storey house on the northwest corner of the village green.
Arvelle the plainsman lies unconscious at the feet of his three captors, who all look at one another, as they hear something in the distance.
"Dorc roaring by the sounds of it" says Tamric Drubine the field commander, who after a pause adds "I think?".
"I believe it is him" says Shur Kee the monk, who after a moments pause, continues with "He is going on a bit".
Frowning as he listens, Mira Reinholt after a few moments, mutters "Shit".
"What?" asks the nobleborn teenager from the feudal kingdom of Sarcrin as he looks at the once powerful mage.
"Nothing good" says the spellcaster who is from the city-state of Vexil, the mage Reinholt follows that with "Definitely something not good if it's what i think it is".
Next to the mage who is in exile from his homeland of Vexil. The short, statured monk who is originally from beyond the Southlands, the far east coast of the continent, where the kingdom of Wah Lee lies to be exact.
Frowns beneath the rim of his odd conical shaped hat as he tries to recall the last time he heard Dorc da Orc do a long sustained roar like they've just heard.
The acolyte in the philosophical order of Bru Li then nods, and quietly says "Yes, this is not good".
"Would someone tell me what the hell's going on" asks Tamric Drubine who is more commonly called Tam by the others in the group.
The spellcaster, who was once the most powerful mage of his generation, until he had a self induced mishap, that saw him miscast a spell, which sent him offworld through a rift/void.
Points at the leader of the crew of illegal wreckers, lying unconscious at their feet in the middle of the hallway, and says to Tam "Bring him along".
Refraining from sourly smiling, the young field commander, with the help of Shur Kee the monk, picks up the tall plainsman with the shaved head, and puts him over his right shoulder.
And as they head down the hallway, back to the room with what remains of the wreckers ill gotten fortune.
The son and former heir of a previous knight of castle Drubine, which is found in the forested north of the kingdom of Sarcrin.
As he carries the unconscious leader of the crew of illegal wreckers over his right shoulder, says to the once powerful mage, and the physical adept "Care to share what you know about Dorc roaring like that".
The nobleborn teenager, who is a field commander in the armies of Farque, who has known Dorc da Orc for nearly a decade, has never heard him roar like he just did, even when he's been badly wounded during battle.
"Like i said, nothing good" says the spellcaster who is also a highly skilled swordmaster, who leads the way back to the room where the remainder of the illegal wreckers loot is.
The mage Reinholt who is a member of the personal council to lord Farque, looks back at the following field commander and tells him "Because if it is what i think it is, then there's no way in hell in stopping him".
The exiled Vexilian mage then adds "By the shape of fire i hope that big idiot gets what he's after" Mira Reinholt then silently adds in a sour tone, the only other way to stop him isn't here. The councillor is of course referring to lord Farque.
Darid Parsen the cavalry commander as he leads the way through the village, stops when he hears the long, sustained roar from Dorc da Orc, from somewhere near the middle of the large village that they've attacked this morning.
As the cavalry commander, who is a member of the personal council to the lord and ruler of the lands Farque, frowns as he thinks about something.
Lisell Maera the messenger, who is frowning, says "I don't think I've ever heard Dorc roar like that before" the attractive young woman who hails from the city-state of Brattonbury then adds "Or for so long".
"Shit" mutters Darid Parsen as he sets off again "What is it?" asks Tovis the war engineer as he walks beside the cavalry commander, while Lisell Maera and Beldane the cleric are right behind them.
"Something must of happened to set him off" murmurs commander Parsen who is really a hordes outrider from the southern tundra by the name of Zubutai Timaginson, who just happens to find himself inhabiting the body of Darid Parsen, a former foot soldier from the kingdom of Druvic, where he served in the army of lady Linara Lé Dic. Until he was killed in battle.
As they cross an opening between some of the roundhouses as they head westwards through the village.
And they're briefly spotted by someone in the distance further south in the village.
Councillor Parsen says to the trio with him "If it's what i think it is, then Dorc will be uncontrollable" Darid aka Zubutai the barbarian hordesman as they hurry behind a roundhouse, adds "Until he's got whatever it is that's set him off".
Dorc da Orc jumps over a garden patch infront of one of the roundhouses here on the north side of the village, he and the others in the group have attacked this morning.
The large ork who is pursuit of a trio of illegal wreckers, specifically a plainsman amongst those three.
Is basically moving in a straight line as he chases after them. The big, burly ork who is not deviating whatsoever as he follows them.
Runs through the closed front door of the roundhouse with the garden infront of it.
The ork warleader who isn't roaring, and is only occasionally growling, runs through the roundhouse, smashing through an inner wall.
And as runs, the ork general in the armies of Farque, is clear of thought, and clear of mind. Something that only rarely happens to him. As he's an ork, who is naturally mad. Whose mind is normally a mixed up place of insanity. Where multiple voices argue and bicker with one another, and with him.
But at this time, as he runs out the open back door of the roundhouse, and again spots the trio of illegal wreckers he's chasing after.
The big, burly ork who is from the southern polar region of the world. His mind is calm and collected.
With just a single thought in it. And that's to get a hold of the tall plainsman who is fleeing from him through the village this morning, here in the northeast of the Kaldel Plains.
A deep growl comes from Dorkindle as he runs after the trio of illegal wreckers, who aren't all that far infront of him.
When they run around an empty cart, then head around a roundhouse. Dorc da Orc a few moments later just runs through the empty cart, smashing it to pieces.
Then the large ork runs through the closed front door of the roundhouse.
And as he runs through the house, and he smells his prey turn to the left.
The warleader of the ork race turns to the left as well, then he runs straight at the side of the roundhouse, and smashes through the wood and brickwork wall.
He stumbles a few steps, rights himself, then growls as he spots the trio of fleeing illegal wreckers, in particular the plainsman who wears his hair in braids.
And with another deep, rumbling growl, Dorc da Orc continues after them this sunny and clear, though cold morning here in the northeast of the Kaldel Plains . . . . . .

Aftermath 64.

The Kaldel Plains...

Dorc da Orc who hears Teabagger the goblin Cunt say "Boss" doesn't look back at him until after he kicks out at one of the illegal wreckers, who jumps back to avoid getting a boot in the midriff.
The large ork looks back, frowns as he can't see the small, bright, green goblin. Then he looks down, and finds the goblin commander on the ground right behind him.
With a scowl of confusion upon his broad, green, brutish looking face, Dorc da Orc says "Get up cunt" followed by "Stop fucking around" the big, burly ork who hails from the southern polar region of the world then mutters "Bad as that fucken knight cunt, sleeping on the job".
The ork warleader grunts as he gets no response from Teabagger, so the weaponsmith from the wolf tribe of orks turns around, and bends down to check upon the commander of the goblin battalion in the armies of Farque.
"No time for naps cunt" says Dorkindle who then adds "Get the fuck up". Then as one of the illegal wreckers moves forward, and whacks his sword into the back of the large ork, who barely feels it.
Dorc da Orc shakes Teabagger, and after a moment he sees the small, bright green goblin who is covered in blood, doesn't move or respond to him.
The son of the former matriarch of the wolf tribe of orks realises the goblin commander is lifeless.
"Why you do that for?" murmurs the large ork in confusion as he looks at the goblin who was originally from the kingdom of Melaurn.
The warleader of the ork race grunts as he's whacked in the back again with a sword. So he throws his left arm back, connecting with the legs of the illegal wrecker who has been hitting him with a sword.
As that wrecker drops to the ground howling in pain with a pair of shattered legs.
Dorc da Orc mutters to himself "Who did this?" followed by "That's Dorc fucken gob-a-lin" as he looks around to see who struck down Teabagger the goblin Cunt, and killed him.
The ork general spots the plainsman, who has a bloody longsword in hand, hurrying across to the north side of the clearing here in the center of the large village.
Heading towards two more of the wreckers. A solid looking fellow, moving with a limp. And a good looking woman, who only has one eye, and a gnarly looking scar down one side of her face.
Dorkindle growls as he watches the plainsman whose hair is in braids. Then the large ork gets up from the crouch he's in, and looks down at the still body of the goblin commander again.
The ork warleader suddenly finds his lower lip is trembling for some reason as he looks at the dead goblin on the ground.
Dorc doesn't know why, but his vision becomes blurry as well, as suddenly tears come to his eyes.
Then after wiping his eyes with a forearm, the ork weaponsmith murmurs with a catch in his voice "Stupid fucken gob-a-lin" as he looks at Teabagger dead on the ground.
Then he looks across to the north side of the clearing here in the center of the large village, and snarls.
A snarl that turns into a growl, and moment later a growl that turns into a roar. Not the usual boastful roar that ork warleader does during battle.
But a long, sustained roar that goes on and on as he watches the plainsman with the other two illegal wreckers hurry out of the clearing.
Dorkindle whacks a fist into his forehead a few times as he continues roaring, then punches himself in face a couple of times.
And when it seems he's almost out of breath as he continues roaring, the big, burly ork from the southern polar region of the world shouts "Get some!" and goes into an ork blood rage.
It's been a number of years since the ork warleader has done so. But it comes rather easily.
And as he takes off running in pursuit of the plainsman who struck down Teabagger the goblin Cunt.
Dorc da Orc who has a very tenuous grasp on reality to begin with. He's an ork after all, so he's mad. Losses all rhyme or reason that he does have.
And only has one thought in his mind. And that's to get the plainsman who killed the small, bright green goblin. And to kill him.
And with the myriad of voices Dorkindle usually has yelling and arguing with him in his mind, all completely silent for the first time in years.
The large ork lets out a vicious roar as he runs across to the north side of the clearing here in the center of the village.
After finally standing up, and grimacing as he does so, sir Percavelle Lé Dic mutters "Quit your belly aching you filthy green beast" as he hears a long, continuous roar from Dorc da Orc.
The heavily armoured knight looks around and sourly smiles as he hears the ork warleader shout "Get some!".
Then he spots the large ork running towards this end of the clearing here in the center of the village.
The nobleborn knight who is from the kingdom of Druvic looks away to his right, and spots the trio of illegal wreckers he was fighting, running out of the clearing, and turn to their left, to the west.
The former paladin who is in the order of the Knights of Saint Mar-che, shakes his full helmed head to clear it.
Then he frowns as he looks at Dorkindle, who is now heading on angle across this side of the clearing.
The former earl of Lé Dic, a fief that's located in the east of the kingdom of Druvic.
Sees there's something slightly different in the face of the big, burly ork who hails from the frozen bottom of the world.
There's the usual demented look on the feral looking face of the ork warleader.
But sir Percavelle or Percy as he's more commonly called by the others in the group. Who knows his rival well. Sees a clear look in the eyes of the large ork. Something he's never, ever seen before. Something that's more than a little odd to say the least.
And frankly disturbing, seeing a look of clarity in the eyes of the mad ork.
"Hmmm what's this then?" murmurs the former knight of the first class, who watches the ork general run by on the west side of this end of the clearing.
Heading straight for the roundhouse opposite the large house that the knight in the order of Saint Mar-che is standing infront of.
Then as the nobleborn knight is about to set off, he blinks in surprise as the ork warleader runs straight into the house opposite him.
The large ork doesn't run into the front door, he runs into the wall next to it, and smashes through it with relative ease, and continues on through the roundhouse.
"By Narille" murmurs sir Percavelle Lé Dic in astonishment after seeing what the large ork just did.
Then the former paladin looks around, and repeats "By Narille" when he spots who is lying still on the ground in the middle of the clearing, here in the center of the large village.
The nobleman from the kingdom of Druvic hobbles across the clearing, to where Teabagger the goblin Cunt lies dead on the ground.
Dalinvardél Tanith the elven spy hurries around a roundhouse, and he spots a trio of the illegal wreckers disappear around the side of another roundhouse on the northwest corner of the clearing in the center of the village.
The elf originally from the principality of Alínlae, where he served in one of the more prominent noble houses of his homeland.
Who has heard the long continuous roar from Dorc da Orc. Hears a crashing sound from in the clearing.
And as he runs into the north end of the clearing here in the center of the village where a wagon track crosses a wide path.
The elven spy spots where Dorc da Orc has just run into the side, and through the roundhouse he spotted the trio of illegal wreckers. A tall plainsman, a stocky fellow, and a good looking one eyed woman. Just run around the back of a few moments ago.
The spy Tanith is about to pursue all four of them. When he suddenly stops as he catches sight of a limping sir Percavelle Lé Dic making his way to the middle of the clearing.
"Damn" murmurs Dalinvardél Tanith the elven spy when he sees who is lying in the middle of the clearing here in the center of the village, that the knight in the order of Saint Mar-che is making his way towards.
Dalinvardél or Dalin as he's more commonly called by the others in the group, hurries that way too.
And when the elven spy from the principality of Alínlae gets to the middle of the clearing.
Percy who has knelt down beside Teabagger the goblin Cunt, looks up at the spy Tanith, lifts the faceplate of his full helm, and says "I'm sorry to say, the little green chap is no longer among the living".
Dalin slightly grimaces as he looks down at the dead goblin commander. Then he looks away to their right, and takes a quick step to one side. An arrow passes by where the elven spy was just standing.
The spy Tanith who has his longbow in hand, and an arrow to it, lifts it, and draws the large weapon back in one movement as he turns to one side and takes aim.
"Missed" mutters the plainswoman Sovirn after letting her arrow fly. She thought she would of definitely hit the elf standing out in the middle of the clearing here in the center of the village.
Then the plainswoman who is an illegal wrecker, who goes to grab another arrow from her quiver as she stands next to a roundhouse on the west side of the clearing.
Is picked up off her feet, and goes flying back a good half a dozen feet, before slamming back into the ground.
She gasps a final breath, and there's a look of astonishment on her face as she sees the long arrow that's sticking out of her chest. The yard long shaft that's just taken her life.
After releasing the cloth yard shaft from his longbow, Dalinvardél Tanith crouches down next to sir Percavelle Lé Dic and checks on the small, bright green goblin.
"Damn" mutters the elven spy when he confirms the goblin commander in the armies of Farque is dead "Fuck" adds the spy Tanith.
"Indeed" says the former earl of Lé Dic in a somber tone of voice.
The two of them stand up, and apart from one of the wreckers lying nearby, whimpering in pain with a pair of broken legs.
The two of them, the nobleborn knight and the elven spy are the only ones alive in the clearing, here in the center of the large village this bright and sunny, through cold morning in the northeast of the Kaldel Plains.
As he looks around, the spy Tanith says "I suppose we better go after Dorc".
The former knight of the first class grunts in a non committal way to that, as he too looks around at the clearing in the center of the large village.
The nobleborn knight from the kingdom of Druvic then says "There is a purveyor of the dark arts here abouts".
"A spellcaster?" says the the elven spy from the principality of Alínlae, who is now an officer in the scouts division in the armies of Farque "Where?" asks the elven spy.
"Over yonder" is the reply from the large, heavily armoured knight who is almost as tall as the elf.
The former paladin in the order of Saint Mar-che who has waved to the west of the clearing, to where the plainswoman that Dalin just shot dead lies on the ground, and says "That way between those dwellings".
The former earl of Lé Dic, whose young niece now rules his family's fief, then adds "The despot conjurer must not be in too good of shape wot" Percy continues with "He did strike my shield with his foul arts, and felt its wrath".
The spy Tanith nods his hooded head, then quietly says "We'll take care of him then" the elf from the principality of Alínlae then adds "Lead the way" as he knows the nobleman from the kingdom of Druvic is better equipped to take on a spellcaster.
The heavily armoured knight grunts, then he looks down at the dead goblin they're standing next to.
The former knight of the first class leans down, and wraps the goblin commander's cloak around Teabagger, then he picks up the small, bright green goblin who was originally from the kingdom of the Melaurn.
Percy carries the body of Teabagger the goblin Cunt to the nearest roundhouse on the east side of the clearing.
Dalin who has followed the nobleborn knight, opens the front door to the roundhouse, and the former paladin carries the dead goblin commander inside, and places him on the floor.
"Fear not little green fellow" murmurs sir Percavelle Lé Dic who continues with "We shall avenge you" the nobleman from the kingdom of Druvic then sourly adds "Well that disgusting general of yours will most likely avenge you".
The former earl of Lé Dic then says over the body of the Teabagger the goblin Cunt "May Narille bless you".
Then he turns and exits the roundhouse, followed by the elven spy after he says a silent prayer to the forest gods of his people, for the dead goblin commander.
Dalinvardél Tanith closes the front door of the roundhouse they've left the body of Teabagger in.
Then he along with the large, heavily armoured knight cross the clearing here in the center of the village.
And after the nobleborn knight briefly stops to slam the bottom edge of his large shield into the face of the illegal wrecker lying in the middle of the clearing with the pair of broken legs.
They head to the west side of the clearing, which they leave, with sir Percavelle Lé Dic "Time to vanquish more of these treacherous villains wot".
Dalinvardél Tanith the elven spy nods his hooded head in agreement as they make their way from the clearing.
As they do, the both of them think about the small, bright green goblin by the name of Teabagger the goblin Cunt, who lies dead inside one of the roundhouses on the edge of the clearing in the center of the village, here in the northeast of the Kaldel Plains . . . . . .

Aftermath 63.

The Kaldel Plains...

A spear is stabbed at Dorc da Orc hitting him in the side, and in his usual fashion he ignores it.
And quickly turns away, ripping the spear out of the hands of the illegal wrecker who is wielding it.
And with the spear in his side, which he can barely feel. The large ork brings his right fist down upon the crown of the head of another of the wreckers.
Pulverizing the man's skull to bits, sending blood, bone and brain matter flying as the ork warleader chuckles in delight.
Then as the illegal wrecker who was wielding the spear, steps forward to try and grab it, to pull it out of the big, burly ork who hails from the southern polar region of the world.
He gets a shortsword in the groin for his efforts. When Teabagger the goblin Cunt stabs his weapon at him, as he stands behind his general.
That illegal wrecker drops to the ground, howling in pain with a bloody groin. He howls even more when Dorkindle steps back, and accidentally stands on that wrecker's left leg, snapping it in two.
Looking around, and seeing towards the north side of the clearing here in the middle of the large village.
Dorc da Orc sourly mutters "Lazy fucken knight cunt, resting on the job" when he spots sir Percavelle Lé Dic on the ground, trying to get up.
All the wreckers on that side of the clearing where the wagon track crosses a wide path in the center of the village. Are either on the ground, barely moving or not moving at all.
"Good for nothing fucken knight cunt" mutters the ork warleader who is a general in the armies of Farque.
Who then turns to the remainder of the illegal wreckers facing him. Who are slowly backing away as more than half of them have already fallen to the large ork, and the small, bright green goblin.
Dorkindle roars at them, and for his troubles he gets shot right in the mouth.
An arrow from the bow of the plainswoman Sovirn, who is standing next to a roundhouse on the west side of the clearing.
Goes right into the open mouth of the large ork as he roars. Where it lodges into the back of his throat.
The ork general's eyes open wide in surprise, and he squawks in surprise too. Then he grimaces, and growls as he reaches up to pull the arrow out of his mouth.
As he does, the illegal wreckers who were backing away, advance upon the ork weaponsmith, and renew their attack upon him and the small, bright green goblin who is behind him, trying to pull the spear out of his general's side.
On the north side of the clearing here in the center of the large village, where the last of the dirt and debris filled air is finally blowing away.
Sir Percavelle Lé Dic, grunts and grimaces as he rolls from side to side as he attempts to sit up.
The large, heavily armoured knight from the kingdom of Druvic, looks to his left, and reaches out, and grabs the shield of Saint Mar-che that was knocked out of his hands when he finally came to a stop after tumbling sideways across this end of the clearing, after he was hit by a blast spell.
The former paladin in the order of the Knights of Saint Mar-che, as he attempts to sit up, can't help but grin as he knows the spellcaster who hit him. Is probably worse off than he is at this moment. That's if he isn't dead from his spell rebounding and hitting him.
"Evil doers, that's what they get for dabbling in the dark arts" murmurs sir Percavelle Lé Dic, who chuckles, then grunts as he attempts to sit up again.
The former earl of Lé Dic, a fief that's located in the east of the kingdom of Druvic. Who is already battered and bruised. Is doubly so now after the tumble he just took. Takes a deep breath, and winces as he finally sits up and has a look around.
Pallen the blademaster grimaces as he eventually gets up off the ground. The tall plainsman with his long hair in braids, staggers sideways to where his lover Sasha the former mercenary has fallen over, and is trying to get up off the ground, here on the north side of the clearing in the middle of the village, that they and the rest of the crew of illegal wreckers took over a little over a year ago now.
As he does, and he sees a groaning Gorlic the former arena fighter trying to sit up as well.
Pallen looks around, and spots the large, heavily armoured knight who they were fighting against.
Has sat up over on the northeast corner of the clearing. The dangerous blademaster grimaces, as he doesn't fancy facing that knight again.
Who moves a hell of a lot quicker than you'd expect someone in such heavy armour that covers them from head to toe, would normally move.
Then through the dirt and debris filled air that's now nearly completely blown away, Pallen looks to the middle of the clearing.
Where he sees some of the other wreckers who were with the brothers Tim and Tom, both of whom he spots dead on the ground.
Are still fighting the large ork, and the small, bright green goblin who is a few paces behind it.
And as the dangerous blademaster helps his lover Sasha to sit up. He continues to watch those in the middle of the clearing, here in the center of the village.
And though he doesn't want to face that large ork, not without a larger group of others to help him.
Pallen sees an opportunity with that small, bright green goblin. There's a definite chance against that goblin compared to the knight and the large ork.
Then Pallen the blademaster quietly says to his lover Sasha "Help Gorlic up" as he assists her to stand.
"Then follow me" adds the tall plainsman who is originally from the kingdom of Girdane, who nods to the middle of the clearing they're in.
The good looking one eyed woman, who has a wicked looking scar down one side of her face lifts her eyebrows in surprise when she looks to where her lover Pallen has nodded.
"Not the ork" quietly says the dangerous blademaster, who quickly adds "The goblin".
Sasha nods in understanding, who after her lover the blademaster squeezes her left hand in reassurance. Stumbles over to where a slightly dazed Gorlic, is trying to get up off the ground.
While the tall plainsman who hails from the kingdom of Girdane, after another look in the direction of the downed knight who is still struggling to stand up.
Starts making his way to the middle of the clearing here in the center of the large village. Where some of the other wreckers are fighting the large ork and the small, bright green goblin.
Pallen has his eyes upon the small goblin behind the large ork as he heads across the clearing where a wagon track crosses a wide path here in the center of the village.
Over on the west side of the clearing, the plainswoman Sovirn who is next to one of the roundhouses, takes a quick look behind her. To where Davon the wizard is lying on the ground after he went flying backwards through the air.
The illegal wrecker who is from further south on the plains. Who for a moment thinks the spellcaster from the city-state of Andelka is dead.
Slightly nods when she sees the wizard trying to move and sit up.
The plainswoman wryly smiles as she thinks about the usefulness of spellcasters, or more precisely lack of usefulness.
Then she looks ahead again, to the middle of the clearing where the large ork is being attacked by four other wreckers. Who are doing their best to hit him. None being too successful, as they don't want to get too close to the large ork.
Who even from where Sovirn is standing, can hear growling as he pulls out the arrow lodge in the back of the throat, that she shot into his open mouth.
The plainswoman who has another arrow to her bow, draws the weapon back and takes aim. She lets the arrow fly, and is rewarded with another hit.
She hears the large ork hiss like a giant angry sounding cat, as the arrow has hit him in the face again. This time it's stuck in the tip of his nose.
Sovirn almost laughs at the cross eyed look from the large ork as he tries to see the arrow sticking out of the end of his nose.
The plainswoman takes another arrow out of her quiver. As she does, she wonders when Davon will finally get up and help the rest of them.
She also wonders when Samiel the mage, who was caught up in a large explosion a little earlier. Will wake up and rejoin them as they fight off those who have attacked the village this morning.
A morning that's sunny and clear, though cold here in the northeast of the Kaldel Plains.
In one of the roundhouses just back from the south side of the clearing in the center of the village.
Samiel the mage quickly sits up immediately after waking. And instantly regrets it.
The powerful spellcaster from the city-state of Tuledare groans in pain and slumps over onto his side.
The mage who was once employed by the airdock authority in the city of Tuledare, before he took up a life of crime.
Who is breathing heavily, does concentrate enough to hold his power within himself.
The powerful spellcaster who was caught up in a violent explosion caused by a mageglobe.
Grunts as he sits up again, this time taking his time to do so. The Tuledarian mage who is battered and bruised looks around and finds himself in the main room of a roundhouse.
Samiel takes a few deep breaths, and figuring that nothing's broken. He gingerly gets up off the floor, though he's a little unsteady doing so.
The powerful mage in the crew of illegal wreckers takes a few wobbly steps, steadies himself with the back of a chair that's next to him.
And after he takes a few more deep breaths of air. He continues on towards the front door of the house.
When he reaches it, the spellcaster from the city-state of Tuledare rests against it for a few moments. Before he finally opens it, and steps out into the morning sunshine.
There's another roundhouse directly infront of him, and he can't see the clearing in the center of the village too well. Though he can just make out the nearly destroyed roundhouse that he was standing next to when the ground exploded beneath him.
Samiel the mage mutters "Fuck that shit" when he hears the fighting coming from the nearby clearing, in particular the growling and grunting ork.
The powerful spellcaster waves a hand in disgust in that direction, then stumbles away to the left.
As he goes off in search for something else, or to be exact, someone else, who he knows is probably in the village.
Samiel as he continues to hold his power within himself goes off in search for the other mage that he knows is about.
The other mage who targeted him with a mageglobe, who almost killed Samiel when that mageglobe exploded in the ground right beneath the powerful mage who hails from the city-state of Tuledare.
"I'm going to find whoever it is, and kill them" Samiel mutters to himself as he stumbles away through the village in search of the mage that he knows is about.
In the clearing in the center of the large village, Teabagger the goblin Cunt grins in triumph when he finally pulls the spear out of the side of his general. Who is preoccupied with trying to take an arrow out of his nose whilst fighting four of the wreckers, who don't particularly want to get that close to big, burly ork who hails from the southern polar region of the world.
The small, bright green goblin who is originally from the kingdom of Melaurn, who commands the battalion of goblins in the armies of Farque. With the spear in his hands, quickly turns to one side when he hears something.
The goblin commander sees one of the illegal wreckers who was on the north side of the clearing, a tall plainsman with braided hair, is trying to quietly make his way in this direction.
The plainsman briefly stops when he sees Teabagger look his way, then he quickly advances when he sees the ork warleader is still preoccupied with the four other wreckers he's fighting.
The small, bright green goblin who sees two other wrecker further back on the north side of the clearing, heading this way too. Spots sir Percavelle Lé Dic trying to get to his feet near the large house on the northeast corner of the clearing here in the center of the village.
Then Teabagger pokes the spear at the tall plainsman with the longsword who quickly approaches him.
Pallen the blademaster in his rush to get to the small bright green goblin, almost gets stabbed in the guts with the spear it's wielding.
The dangerous blademaster originally from the kingdom of Girdane hops to one side, and uses his longsword to batter the spear the other way.
Then the tall plainsman takes two quick steps forward after a brief glance at the large ork that's still preoccupied.
And though the spear that's swung back at him, grazes along his left side and cuts through his hard leather armour and slices along his ribs, he swings his longsword down at the small goblin.
The goblin commander briefly grins as the spear he's using, actually cuts the tall plainsman attacking him. Who is also surprised that he hasn't fallen over as he wields it.
Then Teabagger the goblin Cunt says "Boss" just before the longsword in the hands of the illegal wrecker quickly comes down and hits him.
Pallen the blademaster after cutting down the small, bright green goblin. Quickly looks at the large ork. And after a brief thought of attacking the ork.
He hurriedly backs away instead, towards where Sasha the former mercenary and Gorlic the former arena fighter are heading this way.
As he quickly backs away, the dangerous blademaster looks at the small, bright green goblin who he easily cut down, who is on the ground, dead behind the large ork . . . . . .

Aftermath 62.

The Kaldel Plains...

Tamric Drubine stops just before the corner in the hallway when he hears movement from one of the rooms up ahead.
"Some of them must of climbed in through a window" quietly says Tamric Drubine the field commander in barely a whisper.
Right behind him, Mira Reinholt the mage nods his hooded head then quietly says "They'll probably try and check on their loot" followed in a slightly dry tone with "And try and kill us as well".
Then the once powerful mage whispers something to the nobleborn teenager from the feudal kingdom of Sarcrin, who nods in understanding.
The young field commander in the armies of Farque who has his longsword drawn, moves as silently as possible around the corner.
And sees the door to the room that he heard the movement in, is still closed.
The son and former heir of a previous knight of castle Drubine, a castle found in the forested north of the kingdom of Sarcrin. Is followed around the corner by the mage Reinholt, then Shur Kee the monk.
Tamric Drubine, or Tam as he's more commonly called by the rest of the group takes another couple of steps as quietly as possible.
Then he purposely takes a heavy step, almost a stomp, quickly followed by another, then another, as if he's running.
The door he's got an eye on slams opens. And all hell breaks loose in the hallway.
Two of the illegal wreckers run out into the hallway shouting, and turn towards the young field commander.
They only take a couple of steps, when suddenly the two of them go completely still, stuck on the floor, unable to move.
They might not be able to move their bodies, but they can their heads. So they both scream as they stand there completely still when Tam strikes them down one at a time.
The first one with a swing of the longsword, that takes off that wrecker's head at the neck.
And the second one, when the longsword slams into the front of that wrecker's face, right at the mouth as he screams. Taking off a fair chunk of his head.
"I feel like that damn elf and the way he casts" mutters Mira Reinholt referring to Helbe the elven thief after he freezes the pair of wreckers to the floor, then field commander Drubine cuts them down.
The spellcaster from the city-state of Vexil who also happens to be a highly skilled swordmaster, then quietly tells the young field commander infront of him "Keep heading to the room with the rest of their loot is".
The nobleborn teenager from the feudal kingdom of Sarcrin, who is a field commander in the armies of Farque nods, then continues on down the hallway.
Followed by the Vexilian mage in exile, and the short, statured monk who is from beyond the Southlands, from the kingdom of Wah Lee, which is on the far east coast of the continent.
"What was that?" asks Arvelle the plainsman when they hear the shouting, then screaming from further on in the badly damaged, two storey house here on the northwest corner of the village green.
"I'm not sure" replies Garret the wrecker as a couple of the other wreckers with them hurry down the corridor they're in, heading to the end of the house where the shouting and screaming just came from.
The tall plainsman with the shaved head, who leads the illegal wreckers, slightly nods his head. Then opens the door they're standing infront of. Which unfortunately he finds unlocked. Considering he locked it last night before he went to sleep.
Arvelle steps into the room, then suddenly comes to a stop at what he sees. Or to be exact, what he doesn't see.
And after a moment of stunned silence, and as Garret follows him into the room, the leader of the crew of illegal wreckers says in a tone of disbelief "What the fuck?" followed by "Where the fuck is the rest of it?".
As more than half of their remaining wealth has gone, and is no longer in this room.
As the tall plainsman with the shaved head looks around in disbelief. Garret crosses the room, and opens the window shutters.
"Were these locked?" asks Garret who continues with "Because they're not now" as he easily swings open the window shutters with a simple push.
"They were" says Arvelle, who then mutters "Fuck" as he gets an even better look at what's inside the room, or more precisely, what's not in the room, now that the window shuttrer are open, allowing more light in.
The leader of the crew of illegal wreckers sees that all of the smaller chests, including the small casks containing the jewels and clear spell gems are gone. As well as the mid sized strongboxes.
Only eight of the larger ships lockers containing gold and silver are all that remains.
Garret who helped carry the loot in here from the main room after the theft by Mac the dwarf, or so the illegal wreckers believe.
Frowns as he looks to the north out the open window, then he says "They would've had to move what they took with a wagon".
The illegal wrecker, who like so many of the crew, is from the kingdom of Nastell, which isn't all that faraway to the east, continues with "And i don't see any new tracks out there".
"They've got a damn spellcaster with them" says the tall plainsman with a shaved head, who then adds "They could of got it out of here in all sorts of ways".
Garret grunts to that, then he and the leader of the crew of illegal wreckers who have been creating havoc for the last year or so across the Kaldel Plains as they've brought down airship after airship.
Share a look when they hear more shouting and yelling from further in the badly damaged two story house, that Arvelle has been living in ever since he and his wreckers took over this village, and another one just two and a half miles further north.
"Thieving bastards" says the leader of the crew of illegal wreckers, who continues with "I'm going to kill them". And he nods for Garret to follow him out of the room.
"Shit" mutters Tamric Drubine who had to jump back, otherwise he would of taken a sword that was swung wildly at him, to the neck.
The illegal wrecker who did that, is on the hallway floor. Minus his head, which exploded thanks to a spell from Mira Reinholt.
His head exploded backwards into the face of the wrecker who was right behind him. Who for a moment stood there in shock with bits of brain matter and bone splatter over his face.
Until he dropped to the floor after getting kicked in the side of the head by Shur Kee the monk, who moved forward by the once powerful mage, and the young field commander.
The short, statured monk who is an honorary member of the personal council to lord Farque, steps back behind the other two.
When the exiled Vexilian mage quietly says "Tam, I'll lead the way now" followed by "You stay with Shur Kee behind me".
The nobleborn teenager originally from the feudal kingdom of Sarcrin nods, and steps back to be beside the acolyte in the order of Bru Li.
Infront, the spellcaster who is also a highly skilled swordmaster, steps over the two bodies in the middle of the hallway floor.
And he continues on his way towards the room, where the remainder of the loot belonging to the illegal wreckers is being held.
The mage Reinholt is followed by Tamric Drubine and Shur Kee the monk.
Out in the hallway, Arvelle the plainsman and Garret, are joined by the last two wreckers who entered the badly damaged two storey house with them.
One of whom has just called out to the other four who entered the house, here on the northwest corner of the village green, with them.
He looks at the leader of the crew of illegal wreckers and shakes his head no when he gets no reply from any of the other wreckers.
The tall plainsman with the shaved head slightly grimaces, then grunts. Then with a nod of his head in the direction he wants them to go, Arvelle quietly says to Garret and the other two wreckers "That way" followed by "And be as quiet as possible" he then adds "And careful as well".
The three other wreckers all nod to that, then the two who were already out here in the hallway, start heading down it.
And after the leader of the crew of illegal wreckers shuts the door to the loot room, and locks it.
He and Garret follow after the other two. Hoping to catch those here inside the badly damaged two storey house, here on the northwest corner of the village green.
Who have attacked the village and the illegal wreckers living here. As well as stealing their hard earned loot.
When they get to the end of this hallway, and they're just back from the corner, the two wreckers out infront come to a stop.
And one of them looks back at Arvelle and Garret who stop behind them, and quietly whispers to the two of them "They're in the hallway around the corner" he then adds "Heading this way".
After slightly nodding, the tall plainsman with the shaved head, in a whisper tells the other three "Rush them" followed by "Don't let their spellcaster get a spell off at us".
Then the leader of the crew of illegal wreckers, who for the last year or so, has been living in this particular house, says in a whisper "Remember, try and take one of them alive" Arvelle then silently adds, i want fucking answers!
The two illegal wreckers infront nod, then they share a look. And as they stand there with weapons in hand, one of them whispers "On three" then he whispers "One, two, three".
At three, he and the other wrecker in the front, take off running around the corner. A moment later, they're followed by Arvelle and Garret.
And the four of them rush down the hallway, at the other end of which, stands three individuals.
The most diverse looking trio you'll ever likely to see. One man, about six foot tall, wearing a hooded black cloak.
Behind him, is a fairly young man, around the same height as the first, who is in mix of armour, which includes half plate armour, who has a longsword in hand.
Next to him, is the oddest of the trio standing there towards the end of the hallway. A short man in strange looking white clothing.
Who is wearing an even stranger looking hat, that's conical shaped. That comes down low over his face, almost hiding his eyes.
All three of them just stand there. Watching the four illegal wreckers run at them.
As the four of them rush down the hallway, Arvelle who is running next to Garret. Suddenly finds himself slowing down. And the next moment, he's trailing Garret. Then the next, he's completely stopped. And with the exception of his head, he's unable to move as he's stuck to the floor.
The tall plainsman with the shaved head who leads the crew of illegal wreckers, who are based here in the northeast of the Kaldel Plains, screams in anger and frustration as he realises a spell has been cast upon him.
Arvelle looks ahead, and sees one of the wreckers in the front, suddenly lift up off the floor, and slam back first up into the ceiling, before dropping down onto the floor.
The other wrecker in the front goes to attack the figure in the black hooded cloak.
But the young man in the half plate armour with the longsword gets in the way. And with one swing of his sword, cuts down at the wrecker's legs, stopping him where he stands.
And with another swing of the longsword, back up and to the right. He slashes up that wrecker's body, throat then face, dropping him to the floor.
Meanwhile the fellow in the strange looking clothing and the even stranger looking hat has moved forward of the others.
And Arvelle sees Garret go to hit him with his sword. But the illegal wrecker from the kingdom of Nastell staggers backwards after getting kicked in the face as he was swinging his sword.
Then the leader of the crew of illegal wreckers watches as the short fellow in the odd conical shaped hat. Leap up into the air, spinning as he does, with his right leg out stretched as he does so.
His right foot connects with the staggering Garret. Hitting him in the side of the head. Sending him into the hallway wall, which he bounces off, before dropping to the floor.
"Bastards!" shouts Arvelle in anger after seeing what's just happened. "Thieving bastards!" adds the tall plainsman with the shaved head as he's stands there stuck to the floor as he watches the trio walk towards him.
He goes to shout "Stealing bastards!" when the young man in the half plate armour, who has put his longsword back in it's scabbard, punches Arvelle in the face.
"Do it again" says Mira Reinholt the mage as the leader of the crew of illegal wreckers stands there, stuck to the floor with a dazed look on his face.
Tamric Drubine punches the tall plainsman with the shaved head in the face again.
"That did it" says the mage Reinholt as Arvelle the wrecker is knocked out cold, standing upright thanks to a stick spell that the once powerful mage has cast upon him.
"Got him" adds the spellcaster who is also a highly skilled swordmaster, who then drops his spell he has upon the unconscious leader of the illegal wreckers, who then slumps to the floor . . . . . .

Aftermath 61.

The Kaldel Plains...

"Did you see which way they were coming from?" asks Mira Reinholt the mage "From there" is the reply form Shur Kee the monk who points, as they along with Tamric Drubine look out a window.
"Must be behind those houses heading this way" quietly says the once powerful mage, who then spots a couple of the illegal wreckers dash from behind one roundhouse to another, here on the north side of the village green.
"How many of them?" asks the spellcaster from the city-state of Vexil, who also happens to be a highly skilled swordmaster.
"A dozen of them, maybe a few more" is the answer from the short, statured monk who is originally from beyond the Southlands, from the kingdom of Wah Lee, which is on the far east coast of the continent.
"Seems they've split up" says the mage Reinholt, who then dryly murmurs "Which is unfortunate". As he was hoping to blow up the wreckers as one, as they approach the badly damaged two storey house, that the three of them are in.
"There, at the corner of that house, the square one" says Tamric Drubine the field commander as he nods to where one of the few square shaped houses in the village is "There's a few standing there looking this way" adds the nobleborn teenager who hails from the feudal kingdom of Sarcrin.
The young field commander in the armies of Farque, who the others in the group, often refer to him as just Tam. Briefly pauses, then quietly says "I think that's there leader there".
"Where?" asks the Vexilian mage in exile who looks more closely to where field commander Drubine has indicated "There" says Tam as he points.
Then the son and former heir of a previous knight of castle Drubine, a castle that's located in the forested north of Sarcrin adds "The plainsman, with the shaved head, his name's Arvelle" he continues with "He's just ducked back behind that house".
The spellcaster, who was once the most powerful mage of his generation to be found anywhere throughout the Southlands, slightly nods his hooded head as he comes up with an idea.
"They're definitely in there" quietly says the illegal wrecker Garret, who continues with "I caught a glimpse of them in the room at this end of the house".
"I thought i did too" quietly says Arvelle the plainsman who just had a look around the side of the house he and a handful of his wreckers are behind.
The tall plainsman with the shaved head, gestures away to their left. And they move that way, behind one of the houses here on the north side of the village green.
As smoke drifts by from the stripped down airship that's ablaze on the village green, they get to the back corner of the house.
And look across to the roundhouse parallel to the house he and a handful of others are standing behind.
Behind that roundhouse, are some of the crew of illegal wreckers. And one of them says to Arvelle "Definitely three of them in your place".
He nods in the direction of the badly damaged two storey house on the northwest corner of the village green, that the tall plainsman with the shaved head has been living in ever since they took over this village, and another village just two and a half miles further north, and says "Damard and Cyril are behind the next house, and spotted the three of them".
The leader of the crew of illegal wreckers nods his shaved head, then takes a peek around the corner he's standing at, and looks to the next roundhouse along, the last one on the north side of the village green, before the badly damaged two storey house that's his abode.
There he sees the two wreckers in question, crouching down, looking back this way, waiting for his command to advance.
He gives them a signal to wait, then Arvelle looks across to those behind the roundhouse parallel to the square shaped house he's behind, and says to them "You lot follow Damard and Cyril" he continues with "Head straight at this end of my house" the leader of the crew of illegal wreckers follows that with "Try and use that smoke as cover".
Then Arvelle turns to Garret and the others with him, and quietly tells them "We'll head around to the back of my house" the tall plainsman with the shaved head continues with "By the looks of it, i say it's still got a backdoor we'll head in through there, or any of the windows along the backside".
He then tells those wreckers with him behind this house "Try and take at least one of them alive, i want to find out who the hell they are, and why they're attacking us". Garret and the other wreckers with their leader nod their heads that they will.
Then Arvelle peeks around the corner of the house again, and look at Damard and Cyril who are looking back this way. He mouths to them to use the smoke as cover, and after he repeats that a couple of times, they nod in understanding.
Then the leader of the crew of illegal wreckers gives them a signal to advance upon the badly damaged two storey houses that's on the northwest corner of the village green.
Then looks over at the others behind the roundhouse next to the house he's behind, and nods for them to follow the two out infront as they move off as a large cloud of smoke wafts by.
A moment after that, Arvelle quietly says to Garret and the others with him "Let's go around the back" and leads the way back around the rear of this house, to then head forward and go around the rear of the large, two storey house they're all trying to get to.
The leader of the crew of illegal wreckers not only wants to get in there, to take down three of those who have been attacking the village this morning. He also wants to get in there to secure the rest of their wealth they've accumulated over the last year or so.
Because even with what Mac the dwarf stole, or so Arvelle and the rest of the illegal wreckers believe. There's still an awful lot of gold, silver, and jewels, as well as clear spell gems in the badly damaged two storey house on the northwest corner of the village green.
Seeing the faraway look on the face of Mira Reinholt, and guessing what he's doing. Tamric Drubine asks the spellcaster who is a member of the personal council to lord Farque "What's happening?".
"That wizard, he's casting again" says the once powerful mage who is sensing across the village "In the middle of the village by the feel of it" continues the exiled Vexilian mage who then adds in a slightly dry tone of voice "Probably at those two idiots Dorc and Percy".
After a brief pause, the mage Reinholt says in an extremely dry tone "Yeah at that maniac of a knight" as he's just sensed a blast spell go directly back to the wizard who just cast it. Obviously rebounding off sir Percavelle's magical shield.
"He won't be doing that again in a hurry" dryly murmurs councillor Reinholt, who then looks out the window, when Shur Kee the monk says "I see some of them through the smoke" followed by "They are coming this way".
The physical adept who is an honorary member of lord Farque's personal council points and says "There".
"I see him" quietly says the spellcaster who is also a highly skilled swordmaster, who watches the illegal wrecker running through the smoke in this direction, then casts a spell upon him.
It's a fairly simple spell, infact an even more basic version of it is the first spell Mira Reinholt learnt as a child.
The once powerful mage sets the illegal wrecker on fire. And in an instant the man running this way through the smoke goes up in flames.
"Another one" says the nobleborn teenager from the kingdom of Sarcrin, the Vexilian mage in exile nods his hooded head, and sets that wrecker on fire too.
The two of them keep running for a little while longer as they burn, until they finally drop to the ground dead. Their bodies still burning, with thick greasy smoke coming off their flaming corpses.
"More of them behind those two" says Tamric Drubine "Don't worry about them" says Mira Reinholt, the council member continues with "Keep an eye out for that leader of their's".
Both the young field commander and the short, statured monk nod in understanding to that.
Whilst the spellcaster, who was a member of the mage council of Vexil, infact the youngest member ever of that council, which helps to rule the largest, by population at least, city-state in the Southlands.
Puts a hand in an inner pocket in his long, black cloak and drains some of the power in one of the spell gems he's got.
The mage come swordmaster, waits as the other wreckers approach this end of the badly damaged two storey house on the northwest corner of the village green.
The mage Reinholt won't really bother about them until they're close. What he wants to know, is the location of the leader of the illegal wreckers, the tall plainsman with the shaved head, by the name of Arvelle.
"I see the others" says Shur Kee the monk who gestures away to the left, where he briefly caught a glimpse of some of the other wreckers.
"Their leader?" asks Tamric Drubine "Yes, he was with those ones there" is the reply of the sharp eyed physical adept, who is the living conduit of the Jade Warrior, Bru Li. Who is the founder of the philosophical order that Shur Kee is a member of.
"They're going to go around and try to get in through the back of the house" says Mira Reinholt, who has created a mageglobe that has appeared in his right hand after he pulls it out of the inner pocket in his cloak.
The spellcaster from Vexil who is a member of the personal council of the lord and ruler of the lands Farque says to Shur Kee and Tam "Come on, let's go". As he biffs the living piece of magic he's just created out the window they've been looking out of.
And as the mageglobe takes off and goes directly towards those illegal wreckers rushing through the smoke filled air to get to this end of the badly damaged two storey house.
Mira Reinholt leads the nobleborn teenager and the short, statured monk out of the room. Quickly telling them what he wants to do.
The eyebrows of both the young field commander, and the physical adept go up in surprise when they hear what the once powerful has to say.
Arvelle the plainsman grimaces and makes a face of disgust. As he catches wind of what's burning somewhere away to their left.
It's the smell of burning bodies, and he assumes it's Damard and Cyril. He's correct about that. And with them on fire. He also correctly assumes that one of those in his house, is a spellcaster of some kind.
Behind him, Garret has come to the same conclusion, and is muttering "Damn magic users".
The tall plainsman with the shaved head, who is following a couple of the other wreckers, as they hurry through the drifting smoke to get to the back of his abode. Just nods in agreement with that mutter from Garret.
Then Arvelle along with the other six with him, all jump in surprise as they run. As they suddenly hear an explosion away to their left too.
The leader of the crew of illegal wreckers looks that way. And he blinks in surprise, as through a gap in the smoke. He sees a swirling cloud of fire.
Within which, he sees the other half dozen wreckers who were following after Damard and Cyril, go up in flames.
Arvelle takes his eyes off the horrible sight, and says "Hurry" as he urges the others with him, to get around to the back of the badly damaged two storey house, that he's been living in since they took over this village a little over a year ago.
The leader of the crew of illegal wreckers, like all plainsman doesn't particularly care for spellcasters.
But what he does know about them and their ways. Is that they don't like whoever it is they're facing, to get close.
As they'll have to use less powerful and less effective spells when that happens. Both Davon the wizard and Samiel the mage has mentioned that to him in the past.
Though from what Davon has told Arvelle in confidence. That doesn't really apply to someone like Samiel, who as a mage doesn't particularly care how close his opposition is. As a mage isn't going to dampen their power for anything when they're in combat. No matter how close their opponent or opponents are.
They run around the back of the two storey house on the northwest corner of the village green, that Arvelle has been living in since he and his crew of illegal wreckers took over this village.
They see how badly damaged the house is, as the other half, the western half, if it isn't gone, it's badly damaged.
The two wreckers in the lead stop at the first ground floor window that's open along the back of the house they come across, and go to climb in through that.
While Arvelle and Garret, and the four other wreckers with them. Head for the backdoor.
One of the others runs ahead, and gets to the door first, which he finds unlocked, and he opens it and hurries inside. While the two who were climbing in through the open window, have got inside too.
Then one by one, the leader of the crew of illegal wreckers, and the others with him, run in through the open backdoor of the two storey house here on the northwest corner of the village green.
Once he's inside, and sees the damage here in this backroom, Arvelle the plainsman quietly says to Garret and the others "Right, find them".
The leader of the crew of illegal wreckers who have been bringing down airships all across the Kaldel Plains for the last year or so, who have been making a fortune doing so, then quietly adds "Remember, i want one alive as well".
The illegal wreckers with the tall plainsman with the shaved head who leads them, nod. Then they move off through what remains of the two storey house.
With Arvelle along with Garret, heading to the room where their fortune has been stored ever since some of it went missing, which they they think Mac the dwarf took.
I'm going kill you bastards, after i find out why the hell you're doing this, Arvelle the plainsman thinks to himself, who then silently adds, but first, i better check on our loot . . . . . .

Aftermath 60.

The Kaldel Plains...

"Your left cunt" quietly says Dorc da Orc to sir Percavelle Lé Dic, who starts to head that way "You're other fucken left" growls the large ork.
"Your right sir knight" quietly says Teabagger the goblin Cunt from behind the two infront of him.
"Why didn't you say that you big green ape" mutters sir Percavelle Lé Dic with a sideways look at the ork warleader beside him, who he can just make out through the dirt and debris filled air.
Then the nobleborn knight from the kingdom of Druvic turns slightly to his right, and peers in that direction as they continue across the clearing here in the center of the large village, that a crew of illegal wreckers have been living in for the last year or so.
Then the big, burly ork who is from the southern polar region of the world, who is walking with a bit of a limp, as the heavily armoured knight is too, suddenly stops.
Seeing that the ork weaponsmith has stopped, sir Percavelle or Percy as he's more commonly called by the others in the group, comes to a stop too.
Glancing at the ork who is a general in the armies of Farque, the former paladin in the order of the Knights of Saint Mar-che, hisses at Dorkindle "Beast, what is it?".
The son of the former matriarch of the wolf tribe of orks who is constantly sniffing, growls "Magicky shit".
The former earl of Lé Dic lifts up his shield, when he along with the large ork, and the small, bright green goblin behind them, suddenly feel a breeze. That begins to swirl the air that's thick with dirt and debris, here in the center of the large village.
Taking another weapon into his left hand, Dorc da Orc who already has an axe in his right hand, refrains from roaring as the breeze picks up, shifting the dirt and debris filled air around them.
Then all of a sudden, the breeze picks up in intensity, so much so that it's a fairly decent wind blowing through the center of the large village, here in the northeast of the Kaldel Plains.
And in just moments, the air around them, and in particular infront of them, is blown away by the sudden wind.
To reveal a number of the illegal wreckers creeping forward across the clearing here in the center of the village.
The wreckers pause when they see the large ork, the heavily armoured knight, and the small, bright green goblin, just standing there, looking at them.
There's a momentary pause from both groups, who then yell and shout as they run at one another, and attack each other.
With the warleader of the ork race roaring "Get some!" while the nobleman from the kingdom of Druvic shouts "Saint Mar-che!".
Whist behind the two of them, Teabagger the goblin Cunt remains tight lipped as he follows behind his general, and the former paladin.
As the two groups from opposite sides of the clearing here in the center of the large village run at one another, to try and kill one another.
From the back, where he is with the plainswoman Sovirn. The wizard Davon has cast a basic wind spell to clear away a lot of the dirt and debris filled air throughout the center of the large village.
The spellcaster from the city-state of Andelka, does too much of a good job with that spell.
As the wind he calls up, clears away the dirt and debris filled air around those further infront of him. Who include the brothers Tim and Tom, and handful of others.
A moment or two later, and the large ork, the heavily armoured knight, and the small, bright green goblin are revealed as more of the dirt and debris filled air is blown away.
Then after a brief pause as the two groups from opposite sides of the clearing here in the center of the large village look at one another.
They run at one another, with every intention of killing each other.
Moving forward through the dirt and debris filled air, from the north side of the clearing here in the center of the village that they've been living in for the last year or so.
Pallen the blademaster comes to a stop when he feels a slight breeze away to the right, the direction the others are moving forward from.
The tall plainsman from the kingdom of Girdane has put out his left hand and brought his lover, Sasha the former mercenary to a stop.
And as those following them, including Gorlic the former arena fighter, as well as Chisan stop as well.
Pallen the blademaster quietly says to his lover "You feel that?" followed by "A breeze".
Nodding her head, Sasha the former mercenary quietly says "Away to the right" she then adds "Further ahead".
Just then, they feel the breeze get stronger infront of them. And the dirt and debris filled air thins out.
So much so, that they're just able to see the others being led by the brothers Tim and Tom, who are heading across the clearing from the west.
The couple, originally from the kingdom of Girdane. Also see who else is out in the clearing in the center of the village, where the wagon track intersects a wide path.
The large ork, the heavily armoured knight, and the small, bright green goblin with them.
The two groups who are now out in the open, where the dirt and debris filled air has been blown away.
Look at one another for a moment, then they run at one another, shouting and yelling as they do so.
As that lot do, Pallen the blademaster quietly, and quickly tells those with him "Keep clear of that ork" followed by "Concentrate on the other two".
Then the dangerous blademaster along with his lover, the former mercenary Sasha. Lead the way through the thinning dirt and debris filled air on this side of the clearing.
As he runs forward, Dorc da Orc throws the axe in his right hand, followed by the hammer in his left.
The warleader of the ork race who is a general in the armies of Farque doesn't throw his weapons at those charging towards him, sir Percavelle Lé Dic and Teabagger the goblin Cunt.
He throws the axe and hammer over them, towards those who have remained at the western edge of the clearing here in the center of the village. At those standing next to one of the roundhouses on that side of the clearing.
At one of them in particular. The spellcaster amongst that lot. The wizard Davon, who barely gets his wards up in time. Before the hammer and axe slam into them.
Even then, his barrier and protection spells are badly depleted from the impact of the weapons hitting them.
The spellcaster from the city-state of Andelka quickly steps to one side, to get behind the roundhouse he's been standing next to, he gets behind it for cover.
Dorkindle who sees his weapons strike the spellcaster's wards, doesn't bother taking anymore weapons from his harness. Instead he dives forward, crashing into the those who are charging at him, as well sir Percavelle Lé Dic and Teabagger the goblin Cunt.
The big, burly ork who is from the frozen bottom of world roars as he crashes into the illegal wreckers. Hitting the older brother Tim, square on, right in the chest. Folding him up, shattering the man's ribs and insides then back, as he drives him into the ground with a flying tackle.
A few of the other wreckers, including the young brother Tom, go flying from the impact. And though they're not killed on contact. The same can't be said for Tim as he tackled into the ground by the seven and half foot tall, seven hundred and fifty pound ork warleader.
Although sir Percavelle Lé Dic runs beside the ork general, the former knight of the first class in the order of Saint Mar-che.
Keeps veering to the right, especially since out of the corner of his right eye, he sees movement through the dirt and debris filled air that's rapidly thinning out on the north side of the clearing here in the center of the village.
The nobleborn knight who hails from the kingdom of Druvic, mindful of the spellcaster on the west side of the clearing, has his shield on his left arm.
And as weaponsmith from the wolf tribe of orks, throws an axe then a hammer, then dives forward at the charging wreckers.
The former earl of Lé Dic, a fief in the east of the kingdom of Druvic turns to the right, to confront the illegal wreckers quickly approaching through the dirt and debris filled air that's rapidly thinning out in that direction.
The large, heavily armoured knight, who was once a commander in his order's army. Grins behind the faceplate of his full helm.
As he sees that amongst those he's heading towards, are the trio of illegal wreckers who gave chase to him from the north side of the village.
When he entered the village, just after the sun came up over the horizon to the east. On what's a clear and sunny, though cold morning here in the northeast of the Kaldel Plains.
"So we meet again" says sir Percavelle Lé Dic, who with head down, and his shield to his left, and with a weapon he has drawn with his right gauntleted hand.
The nobleman from the kingdom of Druvic shouts "Saint Mar-che!" as he runs into the illegal wreckers who have come from the north side of the clearing, here in the center of the village.
The couple from the kingdom of Girdane, Pallen the blademaster and Sasha the former mercenary avoid the charging knight in the order of Saint Mar-che.
While behind them, Gorlic the former arena fighter from the city-state of Brattonbury narrowly avoids getting smashed by the large, heavily armoured knight's shield.
But for the illegal wrecker Chisan, he's not so lucky. And though the knight's shield doesn't hit him, or the knight himself doesn't run into him.
The same can't be said for the weapon in the right gauntleted hand of the nobleborn knight.
The point of which just barely touches the midriff of Chisan. That's all it needs. Just the barest of touches. As the point of the weapon, which though looks like a long dagger, it resembles more of a sword that's been cut down.
When it touches Chisan, it sends the illegal wrecker flying backwards through the air with force.
The other wreckers who are following, are lucky not to be directly behind Chisan when he's hit. As there's no doubt one, or even more of them. Would of been smashed into by their fellow wrecker as he's hurled backwards through the air at speed.
Chisan disappears back through the thinning dirt and debris filled air, until he slams into the ground nearly forty feet back from where he was hit by the magical sword of knockdown that sir Percavelle Lé Dic wields.
Dorc da Orc gets up off the ground roaring, swinging his arms as he does does. He stomps his right boot down on the head of Tim to make sure he's dead.
While his left arm slams into another of another of the wreckers, whacking the man in the chest, shattering his ribs apart.
The large ork's right arm narrowly avoids the illegal wrecker Tom. Who screams in anger and outrage at seeing his older brother Tim dead on the ground.
The younger brother slams his sword into the right arm of the ork warleader, who hisses in anger and goes to turn towards Tom.
An axe whacks into the left leg of Dorkindle, who growls and swings back with his left arm.
Clipping the illegal wrecker with the axe, who goes stumbling behind the ork weaponsmith.
And ends up with a shortsword in guts when he stumbles into the path of Teabagger the goblin Cunt, who is behind his general.
The small, bright green goblin who is the commander of the battalion of goblins in the armies of Farque, can't help himself, and shouts "Get some!" as he shoves his shortsword into the stomach of that wrecker.
Dorc da Orc chuckles and murmurs "Fucken gob-a-lin" when he hears the shout from Teabagger behind him.
Then the big, burly ork who is from the frozen bottom of the world, reaches out to grab the younger brother Tom.
And though he gets whacked in the left arm from Tom's sword for his effort. He grabs the illegal wrecker, and picks up and squeezes.
And as Tom screams in pain, the ork warleader bites him in the face as he holds him up off the ground.
The large ork bites off most of his face, from the nose down, including most of Tom's chin and jaw, as well a fair bit of his throat.
Dorkindle with a blood smeared face, roars as he shakes the lifeless body of Tom the wrecker, before he biffs the body away, and turns to another of the illegal wreckers.
Sir Percavelle Lé Dic, spins and blocks a sword swung at him by Pallen the blademaster. And as the dangerous blademaster's longsword clangs off the shield of Saint Mar-che.
The former paladin stabs at him with the sword of knockdown. The tall plainsman originally from the kingdom of Girdane. Hops back, and avoids the magical weapon that would of sent him flying.
And as he moves back, his lover Sasha the former mercenary, along with Gorlic the former arena fighter, move in and attack the heavily armoured knight.
Sir Percavelle Lé Dic, or Percy as he's more commonly called by the others in the group, is surprisingly quick for someone so large, in his mid forties, who is wearing heavy plate armour from head to toe.
The nobleborn knight from the kingdom of Druvic, avoids the sword thrust at him by the good looking one eyed woman with a scar down one side of her face, and kicks out at her, connecting with her right leg, which sends her staggering backwards.
At the same time, the former paladin shoves his large shield at the burly fellow in the mix of leather and chainmail armour as he swings his sword at the former earl of Lé Dic.
The shield of Saint Mar-che, hits the illegal wrecker in the face, stunning him, and sending him backwards to fall on his butt.
Seeing his lover Sasha stagger away by him, and then Gorlic landing on his rear end after getting hit in the face with the heavily armoured knight's large shield.
Pallen the blademaster moves forward, stabbing his longsword more than swinging it towards the helm of the knight.
Who at the last moment, spins to one side, narrowly avoiding the blademaster's weapon.
The tall plainsman with the braided hair, then hops back out of the way again, just barely avoiding the magical weapon the heavily, armoured knight wields.
Just then, another of the wreckers runs forward, and attempts to tackle the knight. He doesn't hit him square on, but he does hit him, and the large, heavily armoured knight is knocked off balance, and staggers away.
Pallen who out of the corner of his eye, spots the large ork and the small, bright green goblin in the middle of the clearing. Quickly advances upon the knight, who has dropped to a knee.
In between the dangerous blademaster and the heavily armoured knight is the illegal wrecker who ran at the knight.
Then just as Pallen goes to run around him, that wrecker is flung backwards with force.
The tall blademaster from the kingdom of Girdane, is clipped in the side by the flying body, and he goes tumbling sideways across the ground.
While the illegal wrecker who was just stabbed by the sword of knockdown wielded by sir Percavelle Lé Dic. Passes over the former arena fighter Gorlic where he sits dazed on the ground. Narrowly misses the former mercenary Sasha as she stumbles to a stop.
And goes flying backwards to slam into the nearest house, here on the north side of the clearing in the center of the village.
The former earl of Lé Dic gets to his feet, and after quickly glancing towards the middle of the clearing, where he sees Dorc da Orc and Teabagger the goblin Cunt fighting some more of the illegal wreckers.
The knight in the order of Saint Mar-che makes his way towards the tall plainsman who is struggling to get up off the ground.
Just as he does, something hits sir Percavelle. To be exact, something hits the shield of Saint Mar-che, which sends him tumbling sideways across the clearing.
And even though he grimaces in pain as he goes tumbling sideways across the ground. Percy also grins as he has a fair idea what just hit him. And what the result will be.
"Got him" quietly says Davon the wizard who has stepped back around to the side of the roundhouse he was behind. And seeing that the large ork is surrounded by too many of the other wreckers.
He decides to cast a blast spell at the large heavily armoured knight instead. Who has definitely got the better of Pallen, Sasha, Gorlic and the others with them towards the north side of the clearing.
The simple blast spell hits the knight alright. Or to be exact, his shield which sends him tumbling across the clearing.
But the spell rebounds, and heads back in the direction it came from, faster and more powerful than it left.
And just after Davon the wizard says "Got him". His own spell hits him. The Andelkan wizard's wards are torn apart as he goes flying backwards through the air. And though his wards protected him to a point.
They can't stop him from flying backwards nearly thirty feet before hitting the ground. Where he lies dazed and delirious, groaning in pain.
Whilst in the clearing in the center of the large village, the fighting continues between the illegal wreckers and those who have attacked their village this morning . . . . . .

Aftermath 59.

The Kaldel Plains...

"Anymore?" asks Pallen the blademaster "I'm not sure" replies Tim who looks at his brother Tom, who shrugs his shoulders.
The tall plainsman with the braided hair who is originally from the kingdom of Girdane, nods his head, then looks at his lover, Sasha the former mercenary, who quietly tells him "Might as well go in".
The good looking one eyed woman, who has a gnarly looking scar down one side of her face, then quietly tells her lover the dangerous blademaster "Be careful".
Pallen nods that he will, then he waves the others forward, they all move forward, and start making their way into the dirt and debris filled air that's throughout the center of the large village.
As they make their way back towards the clearing in the center of the village, Gorlic the former arena fighter quietly tells the couple Pallen and Sasha "That ork hasn't roared again".
The former arena fighter from the city-state of Brattonbury quietly continues with "And that knight is silent too".
Both the blademaster and the former mercenary are in agreement to that, then they along with Gorlic hear one of the other illegal wreckers, with those behind the brothers Tim and Tom say "Davon and a few others, including Sovirn are coming around this way".
"At least that's something i guess" quietly says Gorlic who hails from the coast of the Southlands, the former arena fighter then dryly adds "Just as long as the wizard doesn't fry any of us".
From infront of Gorlic, Pallen the blademaster grunts in agreement. For he like many other plainsmen, doesn't particularly trust spellcasters. Even the ones they closely work with.
"Wonder what happened to Samiel?" murmurs Sasha the former mercenary to her lover Pallen "Who knows" is the reply of the dangerous blademaster.
Who then steps into the thicker dirt and debris filled air closer to the clearing in the center of the village, a few moments after the brothers Tim and Tom, and the others with them away to the right.
Sasha is only a heartbeat behind Pallen as they're almost side by side. They're closely followed by the former arena fighter Gorlic. Then another of the illegal wreckers, Chisan. Who is quickly followed by a few others.
As they head back towards the center of the large village, to see if the ork, the knight, as well as the goblin who have attacked them and the village, are still alive.
Just to the east of the center of the village, upon a rooftop that he's climbed up onto, to try and get a clear look of things.
Dalinvardél Tanith the elven spy slightly frowns as his view of the center of the village is severely hampered by the dirt and debris filled air.
Even with his naturally enhanced eyesight, the spy Tanith is finding it difficult to penetrate the thick, dark air, to see what's going on.
Which is more than a little ironic, as the morning has dawned sunny and clear, though a little cold.
It's just that the center of the large village that the crew of illegal wreckers have been living in for more than a year now. Is quite dark, almost black.
And since there isn't much wind this morning, or even a steady breeze. The dirt and debris filled air has kind of just sunk down into the center of the village, and has stayed put.
Dalinvardél Tanith or Dalin as he's more commonly called by the others in the group, has stood up, and stands there looking towards the center of the village. Where a few moments ago, he heard Dorc da Orc roar again, followed by a shout of "Saint Mar-che!" from sir Percavelle Lé Dic after only silence from the two of them for a little while.
Now the large ork and the former earl of Lé Dic have fallen silent again. And the elven spy who hails from the principality of Alínlae, suspects the two of them are somewhere in the thick of the dirt and debris filled air in the center of the village.
The spy Tanith runs to his right, and leaps off the roof he's on, and lands on the roof of the roundhouse that's right next to the one he was just on.
The elf, who once served in one of the more prominent noble houses in his homeland of Alínlae, gets a better look just to the north of where there's a clearing in the center of the large village that a crew of illegal wreckers have called home for the last year or so.
The elven spy spots where the dirt and debris filled air isn't so thick, a couple of the illegal wreckers moving deeper towards the center of the village.
He's not entirely sure, but he's willing to bet on it, that they're following some more of the wreckers.
They disappear into the thicker dirt and debris filled air that's about, which was caused by an explosion that was underground. An explosion that Dalin is pretty certain he knows who caused it.
The spy Tanith briefly considers drawing his bow back and taking a blind shot. Instead he shoulders his bow, and quickly makes his way across the rooftop he's on.
At the edge of the roof, Dalinvardél Tanith drops down to the ground. Then the elven spy who is an officer in the scouts division in the armies of Farque. Makes his way around to the north. Where he'll make his way into the thick, dirt and debris filled air. And make his way towards the clearing in the center of the large village.
On the north side of the village, Beldane the cleric avoids a sword swung at him. And he smashes his mace into the leg of one of the illegal wreckers.
Who drops to the ground, briefly screaming in pain, until he's kicked flush in the face by Lisell Maera the runner.
Looking around, Beldane the cleric says "Is that all of them?". "All of them here" is the reply from Darid Parsen the cavalry commander as he walks over, unwrapping the traditional black hordes cloth from around the lower half of his face.
"Where did that plainsman go?" asks Lisell Maera the messenger, who continues with "Their leader, Arvelle".
"He ran off that way" says Tovis the war engineer as he walks over from the other direction.
The young engineer who hails from the kingdom of Druvic as he points deeper into the village, says "A couple others followed after him" he then adds "I think they went westwards".
Commander Parsen, who is also a member of the personal council to lord Farque, asks the others "Hear that loud explosion a little earlier?" he then adds "Just a bit after that thunderclap".
Nodding his head, the cleric in the church of Glaine, who is from the nearby kingdom of Nastell, says "That explosion was Mira" he then adds "Well, i should say one of his mageglobes".
"Nothing surprising there" dryly says the cavalry commander, who in actual fact is really a hordes outrider from the southern tundra by the name of Zubutai Timaginson. Who just happens to find himself inhabiting the body of Darid Parsen, who was a young foot soldier in the army of lady Linara Lé Dic, in the kingdom of Druvic.
"Somewhere in the center of the village" says the fighting cleric who is the most recent member of the group "Their mage and their wizard are that way" adds Beldane the cleric.
"And that sorceress?" asks Lisell Maera, who follows that up with "Sara is her name".
"Dead" says the powerful cleric from the kingdom of Nastell, who continues on with "I killed her and some others over there" as he points towards the roundhouse that he was waiting in. From where he ambushed the illegal wrecker Sara and her brother Famic, and a few others.
Lisell Maera who is more commonly called Lis by the others in the group steps back, and looks in the direction that Beldane has indicated, and she spots a few bodies on the ground that way in the morning sunshine.
The attractive young woman originally from the city-state of Brattonbury looks at commander Parsen and nods.
Darid aka Zubutai the barbarian hordesman slightly nods, then says "We go after their leader". He starts moving away, and as the others follow him, the member of lord Farque's personal council tells the other four "And any others we might see".
As the four of Darid Parsen, Lisell Maera, Tovis the war engineer and Beldane the cleric head into the large village, then make their way west through it.
Away to the east of the village, at least a good three miles away. Helbe the elven thief continues to avoid a mageglobe that's been chasing him for a bit. A mageglobe that's hell bent on catching the elven magic user.
The young elven noble from the island principality of Laerel, is down on the ground. He has unblurred himself, and is no longer shielding himself.
It's not necessary to do so, as the living piece of magic that's been chasing him. Knows where he is, no matter what he does.
The elven masterthief looks around as he senses, and locates the mageglobe, that he senses is rapidly approaching him again.
The young elven noble who is the grandson of the ruling prince of Laerel, who has warded himself.
Only has two real chances of getting free of the mageglobe. And that's if the mage who created it, the illegal wrecker Samiel, is killed.
Or if Narladene the ground pixie can distract it enough, that it comes to the end of it's life prematurely.
Because if neither one of those works, the highly talented elven magic user will have to let the mageglobe get close, where no doubt it'll end it's own life.
The elven master assassin will have to rely on his wards then. Which he suspects won't withstand whatever it is that the mageglobe will do. Which is more than likely to explode.
Helbe the elven thief shifts away, and when he reappears a bit further away to the east, he teleports away as the mageglobe continues on it's way towards him.
Sitting upon the mageglobe as it goes shooting eastwards through the clear and sunny morning sky. Narladene the ground pixie drums her bare feet upon the living piece of magic, trying to distract it from it's task.
"Blow up you stupid thing" mutters Narladene the ground pixie in the language of her race.
The naturally magical creature, who is originally from the Sunreach Mountains, sighs as the mageglobe created by the illegal wrecker Samiel, completely ignores her as it continues on it's way towards prince Helbenthril Raendril.
Who Narladene spots in the distance, teleporting further away to the east, as he continues to flee the living piece of magic that's chasing after him.
The tiny winged creature as she sits upon the apple sized mageglobe, hopes someone kills that mage Samiel soon. As she sees that's the only way to destroy the living piece of magic that's after Helbe the elven thief.
Back in the village, along the north side of the large village that the crew of illegal wreckers have been living in for the last year or so.
Their leader Arvelle the plainsman is working his way westwards, to the village green, and in particular the large, two storey house at the northwest corner of the village green.
The house that he's been living in ever since he and his crew took over this village, and another one just two and half miles away to the north, here in the northeast of the Kaldel Plains.
As he's made his way through the north side of the village, Arvelle, a tall, shaven headed plainsman. Has gathered some of his crew, here in this part of the large village they call home. Which has come under attack this, clear and sunny, though cold morning.
As they near the village green, one of the other wreckers who has gone on ahead to scout things out. Has stopped next to a roundhouse, and is waving for Arvelle and the others to hurry up and join him.
"What is it?" quietly asks Arvelle the plainsman when they get to the back of the house, that's close to the village green.
"Your place" says the illegal wrecker named Garret, who continues with "It's been destroyed, well i should say badly damaged".
"Shit" mutters the tall, shaven headed plainsman who leads the crew of illegal wreckers who have been bringing down airships across the Kaldel Plains for the last year or so.
"You can see it from around the otherside of this house" continues Garret, who like nearly half of the illegal wreckers, is originally from the kingdom of Nastell, which is the closest nation to the eastern region of the Kaldel Plans.
As they head around the roundhouse, Garret quietly says to the tall plainsman with the shaved head "This end looks fairly intact and in one piece" followed by "The far end not so much, it's basically gone".
The leader of the crew of illegal wreckers slightly winces when he hears that. Then when they get around the roundhouse and they look across the village green, Arvelle sees it to be true.
The tall plainsman as he looks at the two storey house across on the northwest corner of the village green that he's been living in.
Frowns as he sees the state it's in. This near side, the east side, is basically untouched. Arvelle continues to frown as that's the end the rest of their fortune is stored in. After Mac the dwarf stole some of their loot. Or so Arvelle and the other illegal wreckers believe.
"Anyone see anyone go into my place?" quietly asks the tall plainsman with the shaved head, the others with him, shake their heads no.
And their leader looks around, when Garret says "There, there's some of the others" as he points to the southeast corner of the village green.
Where two more of their fellow wreckers can be seen, heading up this way.
And when they join them to the side of the roundhouse, Arvelle quickly asks them if they've seen anyone enter his place.
The pair of wreckers quickly tell their leader what's happened. How three men, used one of the magetubes in the large house on the south side of the village green to destroy at least half of his house.
Then the three of them crossed the village green, and then entered Arvelle's place.
The tall plainsman with the shaved head, who is annoyed that the twins Sara and Famic, along with the others with them, aren't still here protecting his abode, more specifically the treasure that it contains.
Quietly says to Garret and the others with him "We clear those three out of my place" he follows that with "I bet the bastards are trying to steal our fortune".
The leader of the crew of illegal wreckers nods for them to proceed, and as they start to head across the village green, walking through the smoke that's coming off one of the stripped down airships that's well and truly ablaze.
He asks the two wreckers who saw what happened here, what the three men look like who entered the badly damaged two storey house on the northwest corner of the village green.
That's an odd looking lot if I've heard of one, Arvelle the plainsman thinks to himself when he hears the description of the trio who entered his place.
In the two storey house in question, Mira Reinholt the mage looks out the north facing window in the room, and teleports another of the chests away.
"This is going to take a while" says Tamric Drubine the field commander as he carries another of the chests full of gold and silver closer to the window that the once powerful mage is standing next to.
"Beats carrying them all out of here" says Mira Reinholt the mage, Tamric Drubine or Tam as he's more commonly called by the others in the group, grunts in both agreement and with effort as he puts the chest down next to the spellcaster from the city-state of Vexil.
"You'll have to give me a hand with those larger ones" says the nobleborn teenager who is originally from the feudal kingdom of Sarcrin as he points to the ships lockers across the room "They're bloody heavy" adds the young field commander in the armies of Farque.
Then Tam along with the mage Reinholt turn to the door to the hallway when they hear Shur Kee the monk hurrying through the hallway.
"There is a group of those wreckers across on the east side of the village green" says Shur Kee the monk when he enters the room, the short, statured monk continues with "It looks like they are heading this way".
The spellcaster from the city-state of Vexil who is also a highly skilled swordmaster, says to the other two "Let's go and see what they want" Mira Reinholt then adds in a slightly dry tone of voice "I'm guessing it's not a friendly visit and chat they're after this morning" . . . . . .
